Welcome to the Bel Alton HS Alumni CDC

The Bel Alton HS Alumni Community Development Center (Bel Alton CDC) is a project dear to the hearts of many people who have worked tirelessly to restore a beloved alma mater, Bel Alton High School. The Center serves a target population of low-income residents, primarily in the southern end of Charles County.

The Bel Alton CDC will give significant stimulus to an underserved target population in need of programs that create jobs and foster self-help and economic self-sufficiency. The Center will create approximately 60 jobs, 51 of which will be for people with low income. Programs, services, and activities including an early childhood development program, adult education, information technology training, and a cafe' are in progress or have started.

If this is your initial exposure to the project, we hope that this website will spark your interest and inspire you to assist us. We look forward to the continued assistance of all who support our mission and sincerely thank you for the support you have already given. Long-term lease space is available for operating or participating in some of the programs mentioned, as well as for operating other programs designed to foster economic self-sufficiency or youth mentoring. We have space for lease in hourly increments for meetings, classes, and social events. Please contact us for more information.
